After much deliberation, the Vermont Fish & Wildlife Department finallly decided to construct a shooting range in Essex County. The range is located a couple of miles south of route 105 on the South America Pond Road in the town of Ferdinand. It is well constructed and meets all safety and ecological regulations.
The state of Vermont oversaw the construction of this project and had previously asked the VTFWCG if it would be willing to perform maintenance on this facility. We have accepted responsiblity and have entered into a memorandum of understanding with the state of Vermont on this project
Gabe Muraca is on our Board of Directors and is our contact for this project 802-723-4212

We invite the public to come and enjoy the facility and treat it with the respect expected of sportsmen and women.
The range will be closed between the dates of December 15- April 15th annually.
